We are thrilled to share an exciting milestone in our journey to elevate Vermont cheesemaking: Vermont Farmstead Cheese (VFC) has acquired Grafton Village Cheese Company (GVCC). This strategic investment strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional quality, foster creativity, and enhance scale and dependability across our brands. More importantly, it reinforces our long-term commitment to both the craft of cheesemaking and the talented individuals who bring it to life.

By uniting the expertise, resources, and rich traditions of VFC and GVCC, we are creating a dynamic company that honors the distinct identities of each brand while driving innovation and operational excellence. This synergy will allow us to refine and expand our cheesemaking capabilities, enhance efficiencies in production and distribution, and continue to provide the unparalleled quality our customers expect.
What does this mean for customers? This acquisition positions us for sustainable growth while ensuring that our cheesemaking heritage remains at the forefront. Production will continue at both the Grafton facility and our Vermont Farmstead Cheese creamery in South Woodstock. Importantly, we remain deeply invested in our cheesemakers—providing them with the resources and support needed to hone their craft and drive innovation in artisanal cheese.

We recognize the historic significance of the GVCC brand and its contributions to Vermont’s cheesemaking legacy. As we move forward, we are steadfast in our commitment to upholding the values of authenticity, craftsmanship, and community that define both brands. Through continued investment and a shared vision for excellence, we are building a foundation for even greater success. And as we move forward, we remain committed to our quality, to our local dairy farmers and cows, and to the community spirit that have distinguished both companies.
