Original: Made in small batches with fresh milk from Fat Toad Farm's own herd of pastured dairy goats, our Goat’s Milk Caramel is meticulously hand-stirred to velvety perfection over the course of five hours in traditional copper kettles. Rich and creamy, our not-too-sweet Original Caramel Sauce delivers the unmistakably tangy depth of your favorite chèvre balanced with the simplicity of fresh milk and pure cane sugar. In the true spirit of farmsteading, we exclusively uses milk from our own goats, and personally shepherds each case of caramel from grass, to goat, to jar, and into your hands (or mouth!).
Salted Bourbon: Made in small batches with milk from its own herd of pastured French Alpine and Saanen dairy goats, this creamy caramel is hand-stirred with the extra benefit of bourbon and sea salt. Inspired by their shared obsession with Kentucky bourbon and anything soaked in booze, sisters Hannah Reid and Calley Hastings infused their sweet, smoky caramel—already in four other flavors—with a touch of salt and Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The fresh milk is combined with organic cane sugar and cooked slowly in large copper kettles until it turns into a thick caramel sauce with a deep amber color. The alcohol from the bourbon burns off almost immediately after being added and leaves behind a warm, smoky finish.
